Big Country Bluegrass plays music that has become known to many as "Galax" or "Mt. Airy" style bluegrass - the sounds and style that evoke memories of Ted Lundy, Larry Richardson, Roy McMillan, Joe Edd King, L.W. Lambert and countless others. It is straight ahead, hard edged bluegrass without the frills of the "get in as many licks or notes as you can" approach so common in much of the bluegrass played today. The rhythm and timing are solid, the instrumental work is clean and tasteful, and the vocals are from the heart.

Big Country Bluegrass has recently signed with Mountain Roads Recordings of Bristol, Tennessee and it's first release on this new label will be in the summer of 2008.

This group is celebrating 20 years of great traditional bluegrass music. From the stage of the Grand Ole Opry to the stage at Forest Edge Comm. Amp. they are sure to be crowd pleasers.
